Why EXEDY FRAP

Six reasonsto fit ours

What a workshop or distributor gets that a box from an unknown factory can't give.

01

An OE factory

Seven out of ten parts we make go straight to vehicle makers. The aftermarket parts come off the same lines, designed and tested by the same engineers.

02

No second-tier plant

FRAP doesn't keep a separate factory for the aftermarket. Your parts come from the same Turin factory as the OE parts.

03

Tested like OE

Fatigue rigs, salt spray and a 100% crack check on ball studs, under IATF 16949.

04

From ATV to truck

4,700+ parts for cars, pickups, vans, trucks, tractors, quads and side-by-sides.

05

Electric and hybrid

Ready forheavier cars

Battery packs add hundreds of kilos and electric motors deliver full torque at once. Standard joints wear out early. Our parts for electric and hybrid platforms are designed for it.

Larger ball

Spreads the extra weight of the battery pack.

Hardened stud

Heat-treated for the mass and torque of electric cars.

Right breakaway torque

Matched to electric power steering and steer-by-wire.

Quiet

Special grease and polymer inserts, because an electric car has no engine noise to hide a knock.

In the box

Ready to fitstraight from the box

Everything for one job in one box, so the car leaves the lift sooner.

Pre-assembled

Control arms come with ball joint and bushings already pressed in.

New hardware

Grade 10.9 nuts, locking bolts and cotter pins. Never reuse tired original bolts.

Clear label

OE cross-reference numbers, vehicle data and a QR code to the part's page and fitting data.

Traceable

A batch code on every box, back to the production run in Turin.

Workshop know-how

Steering andsuspension basics

Terms you'll meet when diagnosing a car that pulls, wanders or knocks.

Play (compliance)

Unwanted movement in a joint or bushing under load. It shows as vague steering, wandering on the motorway and knocks over bumps. A worn plastic bearing shell is the usual cause.

Camber

How far the wheel leans in or out at the top, seen from the front. Wrong camber wears the inside or outside edge of the tyre.

Caster

The backward tilt of the steering axis. Positive caster keeps the car straight and brings the wheel back after a corner. Lift kits and worn arms reduce it.

Toe

Whether the front of the wheels points in or out. Set by the tie rods; a worn tie rod end changes it and eats tyres.

Breakaway torque

The force needed to start a ball joint turning. Too low feels loose; too high makes the steering stiff and stops it returning to centre.

Memory steer

The car keeps pulling to one side after a turn. Often a binding ball joint, or an upper arm that doesn't rotate freely.

Always replace in pairs

Left and right parts wear together. Replacing one side leaves the car pulling and the other side close to failure. Check the alignment afterwards.

INEOS Grenadier off-road
Built for abuse · Bull Series

Heavy-dutyquality

For vans, fleets, pickups, 4×4s, trucks and farm machinery. Parts made for the loads, dirt and hours that ordinary parts were never built for.

Why Bull

Built to keepthe fleet moving

For a fleet, the price of a suspension part is small. The van standing still is what costs money. Bull parts are built to stay on the vehicle longer, and to be serviced instead of replaced: 300% more durable than standard parts.*

Forged bodies

Solid forged arms instead of stamped steel. They don't bend or fold under heavy loads.

Greaseable

Grease fittings for re-greasing at every service, so you can see the joint's condition and plan maintenance.

Sintered bearings

Porous metal bearings hold the lubricant inside the joint.

Heavy hardware

Grade 10.9 hardware, 12.9 on high-stress applications.

Pre-filled

MoS₂ extreme-pressure grease from the factory, ready to fit.

Workshop-ready

Oversized wrench flats for impact tools, and press-in flanges rated for 20-ton presses.

Plastic vs metal

Why Bull hasno plastic inside

Standard joints use a plastic bearing: smooth and quiet, ideal for everyday cars. Under heavy loads, heat and mud, metal lasts longer.

Bull Series / Servicing a Bull joint

Bull Series · Workshop guide

Servicing aBull joint

Bull joints have a grease fitting and grooves in the ball pin. Fresh grease reaches the whole joint and pushes old grease and dirt out. Do it at every service and the joint keeps going.

01

Clean the fitting

Wipe the grease fitting so no dirt is pushed into the joint.

02

Grease

Use a standard grease gun and any shop grease. Pump slowly.

03

Watch the boot

Stop as soon as the boot starts to fill out. Too much pressure can damage it.

04

Wipe off

Remove the excess grease around the fitting and the boot.

05

Check

Look at the boot and check the joint for play while the vehicle is up.

What to look for

Signs toact on

Greasing is also the moment to check the joint.

Grease won't go in

The fitting may be blocked. Clean it or replace the fitting, then try again.

Torn boot

Water and grit get in. Replace the joint before the damage spreads.

Play in the joint

Knocking or movement you can feel by hand means the joint is worn. Replace it, and check the other side too.

Missed a service?

The sintered bearing holds oil in reserve. Grease it at the next stop.

Torque values and fitting details for each part are in the instructions in the box. Questions? info@exedyfrap.com

Built for the edge · FRAP Rosso

Sharper inevery corner

Performance control arms, kits and adjustable links, from the factory that builds OE suspension arms for Maserati and the Alpine A110.

Why Rosso

Built forcontrol

Factory suspension is a compromise. Soft rubber keeps the cabin quiet, but under braking and in corners it gives way: the wheels move, the alignment shifts and the steering goes vague. Rosso replaces that compromise with stiffer bushings and stronger arms, and still bolts on like the original.

Three sub-lines

Street tocircuit

Available

Rosso Street

Stiffer arms and stronger bushings for fast road cars. 96 arms for 125 models from 13 brands.

In development

Rosso Track

Uniball joints and polyurethane bushings that hold the geometry at the limit. Coming for the Toyota GR86 and Honda Civic Type R, with more to follow.

In development

Rosso Pro-Drift

More steering lock and adjustable geometry for drift cars.

OE vs Rosso

The differenceis in the bushing

Original

Two small rubber pads take all the load. They flex, wear and start to knock.

FRAP Rosso

A stronger, stiffer bushing spreads the load. Less flex, less wear, less noise. POM bushings on selected parts.
